But don’t worry, we at Beme This got you covered, we have compiled a list of five of the most common makeup mistakes that you can easily avoid!

1- Applying Too Much Foundation

Whenever, it comes to foundation less is more, as foundation meant to look like real skin and to conceal any uneven skin tones but not look like a mask on your face. Heavy foundation can add up to 10 years to your actual age, as it settles into wrinkles fine lines and pores and drawing attention to these areas making your face look older and “cakey”.

To avoid this, try to apply less foundation and only in areas where you need it and use a concealer and color corrector to cover up problematic areas like blemishes, pimples, dark circles and freckles.

2- Wearing Too Much Powder

Some makeup artist will argue that you don’t need powder even in first place. However, there is time and place for it, but you have to be careful not to use too much. If you use too much powder it will make your skin look dry, heavy and cakey. Dry, powdered skin tends to look older and more tired than clean and smooth skin.

So never overdo the powder, and always go with translucent setting powder to eliminate oily shine, as such powders do not add any color or coverage, they simply matte the skin with a very refined powder that won’t cake.

Try not to swirl it on your whole face instead, apply only where needed, which is usually T- zone and lightly on the cheeks. Make sure to blend it well, it’s best to use brush for tapping away excess.

3- Skipping Eyeshadow Primer

Hate those pesky creases that come with some extra-hours shadow wear? Well! worries no more, here’s a solution. Before applying shadow always smooth on a primer to give shadow to something adhere to and not to get it creased.

Eyeshadow primers are not only helpful in keeping your eyeshadow in place but also helps in preventing your eyeliner from smudging and melting down from your eyes. So always make sure to use eyeshadow primer to achieve beautiful eye makeup.

Here’s a simple and most effective way to use shadow primers, Spread the primer all over your eyelid and then dab a small amount of loose powder over it in order to avoid your eyeshadow to settle into creases. This technique will help your eye makeup last longer.

4- Wrong Eyebrow Routine

Everybody wants bolder and fuller brows but not everyone is blessed with bold beautiful brows like Cara Delvigne. Having a define brow really helps to make you look beautiful and your eyes pop, making them even more defined and attractive.

Experts suggests going no more than a shade darker than your brows. It will not only enhance your brows but also pop your eyes without exaggerating them. Brows are meant to enhance your features, not to distract from them. A good brow pencil should give the illusion of natural hairs and not look like it tattooed on. Always use a little product on your brows, no matter it’s powder or gel to get perfect and stunning brows in no time. Trust us a little bit product goes a long way.

5- Over Applying lip-Gloss

Lips are a beautiful and important part of our face but we pay least attention on this part of our face while applying makeup. Most of the people think there’s no hard and fast rule for applying lipstick or lip gloss, which is absolutely wrong. Simple lip gloss mistakes can ruin a whole makeup look, outfit and even mood.

As much as we might want it to be, lip glosses are not always that laid-back best friend. It is usually more of a high maintenance type. Try not to overdo lip gloss.

According to Vincent, never apply lip gloss all over your lips, you should only be applying it in the center of your lips to enhance their natural shape and add a hint of shine. Applying lip gloss all over your lips does not provide shape, it just makes the lips look overdone. Gloss tends to slide off after an hour or so, and it can drag your lip color right down with it.
